Prescription Advice
Please order your medication via the NHS App or ring the dispensary line on 01460 55300 (option 2). The dispensary line is open Mon - Fri, 10.00 - 12.00 and 15.00 - 17.00. Please allow 72 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed.
You may request repeats online. To register for this free service, simply call or come into the surgery and ask about being set up on Patient Access/the NHS App. Please note that prescriptions ordered online will not be received by the medical centre until the next working day and will then take 72 hours to be processed.
When you register with the practice you will be advised whether we will be able to dispense your medication for you at the surgery – this is dependent on the distance your home is from the nearest pharmacy.
If you require repeat medication urgently outside our opening hours, you can go to any pharmacy. The local pharmacies are: The Minster Pharmacy, Silver Street, Ilminster and Boots Pharmacy, East Street, Ilminster. Further information about out-of-hours pharmacy services. Also see the NHS pharmacy service search to find other nearby pharmacies and their opening hours. Some pharmacies are open until midnight or later and even on public holidays.
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you may be asked to make an appointment.
Online Repeat Prescription Requests
If you are a patient aged 16 years or over, you can now order your repeat prescription using our internet booking service. Once registered for the internet service you can also book a routine appointment with your GP.
If you haven't registered yet you will need to visit our reception desk to sign up for the service. You will need to do this yourself in person and bring with you some form of ID such as photo driving licence or passport.
You can register online by clicking the link below, but you will still need to come into the surgery with a form of ID to be able to complete the process and use the service.
