During our normal working hours of 8am to 6.30pm, please phone the surgery for an appointment.
For urgent appointments or advice outside our normal surgery hours, please call the out of hours service on: 111 (this is a free to call number) or visit the NHS 111 website.
Pharmacies deal with a range of minor illnesses, such as:
- coughs
- colds
- sore throats
- stomach and bowel issues
- aches and pains
Pharmacists are experts in medicines and can offer clinical advice and over-the-counter medicines. Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends and you do not need an appointment. Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.

The Minor Injuries Unit, based at Chard Community Hospital, deals with a range of minor ailments including:
- urinary infections
- minor head
- injuries
- sprains and broken bones
- bites
- emergency contraception
- chest infections
- throat infections
